The AARAZJI LUXE Fabric Care Masterguide

The Foundations of Fine Cotton
Our cotton collections are designed for comfort and breathability. To maintain the crisp texture and vibrant colors, we suggest a gentle hand wash in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Avoid soaking for extended periods, as this can weaken the fibers. When drying, keep your garments away from direct sunlight the shade is your best friend to prevent color fading. For that pristine look, iron the fabric while it is still slightly damp.

The Grace of Silk and Chiffon
These delicate fabrics are chosen for their ethereal drape and sheen. Because of their sensitive nature, we strongly recommend Professional Dry Cleaning only. If you must handle a minor spill at home, avoid rubbing the fabric, as this can damage the delicate weave. When ironing, always use the lowest heat setting and place a thin cotton cloth between the iron and the silk to act as a heat shield.

Preserving Intricate Embroidery and Zari
Your handcrafted pieces with Zari or heavy embroidery are works of art. These should never be submerged in water. Between wears, simply air them out in a well-ventilated room. For storage, fold these garments with acid-free tissue or butter paper between the folds; this prevents the metallic threads from tarnishing and ensures the embroidery doesn't snag on the base fabric.

Maintaining Georgette and Indo-Western Silhouettes
Georgette offers a beautiful bounce, but it can be prone to stretching if mishandled. We recommend a very quick, gentle hand wash. Most importantly, never hang georgette while it is wet. The weight of the water will pull the garment out of shape. Instead, lay it flat on a clean towel to dry. Once dry, store these pieces folded rather than on hangers to preserve the original silhouette.

Professional Storage Secrets
* Muslin Protection: Instead of plastic covers which can trap humidity and cause "yellowing" wrap your premium ethnic wear in breathable cotton muslin bags. This allows the natural fibers to breathe.
* The Weight Factor: For heavily embellished lehengas or gowns, avoid hanging them by the shoulder straps. The weight can cause the seams to tear over time. It is always safer to store heavy bridal or occasion wear flat in a trunk or a deep drawer.
* Chemical-Free Freshness: Avoid spraying perfumes directly onto the fabric, especially near metallic embroidery, as the alcohol content can cause permanent discoloration.
